InsideChips monitors the semiconductor forecasts of key market research organizations, including Dataquest/Gartner, iSuppli, In-Stat, SEMICO, IC Insights, Future Horizons, VLSI Research, and others.  The purpose of the program is to identify and recognize top analysts whose methodology and experience result in consistently accurate forecasting.

Each year, InsideChips takes a survey of the leading semiconductor market researchers' public worldwide forecasts made for the next year made during the fourth quarter of the current year.

Recognition is given to the best analyst forecaster after actual results are tabulated by the SIA.  The Best Semiconductor Forecaster Analyst award is annouced each year in February.
