Dan Mahoney, president and CEO of the company's U.S. unit, Renesas Electronics America Inc., believes the new combined group has the right strategy, products and technologies as the post-merger implementation moves forward.  Integrating the businesses of NEC and Renesas (formed earlier by merging Mitsubishi Semiconductor and non-DRAM Hitachi business unit) will not be easy.
