IO Semiconductor (IOsemi) is a San Diego, Calif. based fabless semiconductor startup that is focused on applying new technologies to RF devices for the cellular industry using what it calls its ZEROcapTM CMOS Technology.  The technology and design methodology is aimed at increasing performance and reducing costs.

Founded by a veteran team with over 150 years of combined semiconductor experience, IOsemi is currently in early product development and as a result it is in stealth mode.

In July of 2009, IOsemi was accepted into the EvoNexus incubator for high tech start-up companies based in San Diego.  The company has recently completed an undiclosed amount of multi-stage funding with a private investor.  The investment provides the company with the capital to move from its current stage of technology development through volume production.
