Debajyoti "Debu" Pal

Ikanos Communications (NASDAQ: IKAN), a leading provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the digital home, brought in DSL technologist and pioneer Debajyoti "Debu" Pal to the position of senior VP and chief technology officer.  He reports to Michael Gulett, president and CEO of Ikanos.

A 27-year veteran in the communication and semiconductor industry,  Pal spent over five years at Tallwood Venture Capital in a variety of roles, including CTO and executive-in-residence. His communications experience includes founding Telicos , a developer of 10 Gigbit Ethernet over copper physical layer (PHY) technology, and Excess Bandwidth, an xDSL PHY chipset company that was acquired by Virata Corporation. At Virata, Pal was a VP, responsible for xDSL PHY technology and IC product development. In addition, his communications industry experience includes senior technical and technical management roles at ADSL and VDSL technology pioneer, Amati Communications (acquired by Texas Instruments), and senior technical positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories
