In-Stat appointment Greg Heikes to the position of director, primary research. In this role, Heikes will oversee In-Stat's dedicated primary research team in the execution of end-user survey research for both consumer and business markets, including development of complex research methodologies and sampling plans, questionnaire development, project management, data analysis and presentation to clients.

Heikes will report to John Dinsdale, In-Stat's VP and GM and will be based in Austin, Texas.

Prior to joining In-Stat, Heikes was director of market and customer research at Holt Rinehart & Winston, a division of Harcourt Education. Prior to that, he held a variety of primary research positions at Medical Device Market Research, Centerpulse, NuStats, and John Deere.

Heikes replaces Janet Wise who held the post from June 1999 through October 2007. Wise joined RFID and high-tech market research firm ABI Research in November 2007.
