Alereon is opening Alereon Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd., the company's new product oriented R&D facility in Pune, India.

Alereon's new state-of-the art operation expands Alereon's team to accommodate the growth in interest for the company's certified USB solutions. The focus of the R&D center will be to continue to develop the company's patented UWB chipsets, such as the AL4000, for the next generation of products.

Alereon is currently the only UWB company offering embedded device-to-device connectivity that is Certified Wireless USB from the USB-IF
